and gentlemen, Welcome to Da Vinci Church. Thank you all for being here. Our address is 221B Baker Street.
Guess you all know this already. Let’s move on to the start of today. Andri,
Jumito and I are the priests to preach peace in Second Life. Oh! Where are
they? Do you see them?
Jumito: (puff
and blow) hhhh, oh, sorry I am late!
Nancy:
Are
you kidding me!! For God’s sake, do you really want to see the God at night?
Jumito:
Yes,
indeed I want~~God!!

Andri:
Black!!
You said the wrong word! It’s grey not black!!
Jumito:

Because A said I want to see the God at night, so I change the wordXD.
Nancy:

of you!! It’s enough. Don’t waste our time on trifles.
Jumito:

Lady and Gentleman, welcome to Da Vinci…
Nancy: Wait!
Wait! I’ve done the prologue for you, so you can skip it.
Andri:
OK,
again welcome to Da Vinci Church. We’ve come here today to learn about this
Church. I will go deep into the history of our church, and Jumito will explain
the intentions of decorations and Nancy will go over the activities that take
place in this church.
PART I
First
of all, I’d like to say thank you for Nancy’s ideas to
build the church in Second Life. I don’t
know why Nancy has the “incredible” ideas.( sorry for fattening myself XDD) Actually,
I really miss the real church like the one we usually find in our country. In
this Second Life, you can find a lot of places for fellowship to get together
but they are not the same as the church, so that is why we decide to built the
new building about the unique church.
The
first reason for us to choose this church is building the church is not really
difficult for us. We can find it in the market or build by ourselves. The second
reason is because we don’t need to spend much money to buy or to build the new
church. The third is the church can be the new one place in the Second Life. It
is really hard for us to find the church here. I know you have the same
feeling. And the last reason is that we can meet and invite the other people to
come and join with us, appreciating and worshipping the Gods together.
This
church is simple one but glamour. Most of the people in this town are
astonished by our church at the first sight. Some of them indeed sent some
flowers and candles to worship the God.
And
my friend Jumito will explain and tell you about the church decorations. And
the leader of this team, Nancy will tell you about the design of our activities
we will do after the preaching. oThank you and welcome.
PART II
Hi, I’m
the second preacher, now I am going to tell about the meaning of some objects
inside the church.
The first is cross.
In Christianity, the cross
is the intersection of God’s love and His justice. Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29). The cross symbolized the
sacrifice of Jesus in the cross to forgive the human sins. That is why the
Christian regard that Jesus as the savior.
The second is candle.
As
there is a word of god that say “ Let your light so shine before men, that they
may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. " So, I will
tell you some meanings of the candles in the church, namely ;
01)
Candles provide warmth, reminding us that we can provide warmth and love to
those who are around us, especially those who are cold and need.
02)
Candles burned by fire, reminds us that we are always awake and alert to the
Fire if we do not raise our repentance and do His will.
03)
Candles can be discharged, reminds us that our life on earth is temporary so we
should always live in repentance all the time.
04)
Candles are supple, reminding us to always pliable and humble in the face of
suffering that befall us.
05)
Candles liquid dripping when burned, reminding us to always tears in our eyes
for many of our sins.
6)
Candles have uses that are important in life, reminds us that we too must have
utility for others, especially for the glory of God.
The third is flower
Not only in the church, but
commonly in human life, flowers symbolized the beauty and the peace. So in the
church and in Christianity also, we need to live beautifully by living
peacefully as like Jesus always teach us to be peace and love all the peoples even
our enemies.
The fourth is Bible
The holy bible is the book
where all God’s words are written. Here we can see all the things that God had
planned in our life, what are going to be happened and what are His will and
prohibition that we must obey. In short, the holy bible seems like our guider
in our life. Later, Nancy will tell you about the activities hold in the
church.
PART III
Hi,
everyone, our church provides you three activities to let you know more about
Christian cultures.
The
first one is Da Vinci Code, which is inspired by the film of the same name.
However, the revelation of the secret murder in the film destroys Christians’ reputation,
so we combine Morse Code into our activities to let you know the “revelation”
of code will bring you to the divine realm with God.
The
second activity is called “God says.” In Christian culture, all Christians need
to follow the regulations of the God. Therefore, we will be the messengers to
deliver those magnificent words in this activity and let you get access to the
divine words from God.
What’s
more, in the third activity, we will introduce one of the important festivals
in Christian culture to you. There are many festivals in Christianity, but
which one is the best festival for kids? I guess what I am going to say is
across your mind. Of course is Christmas!! Every kid expects that Santa Claus
will give them their favorite gift. Oh!! This reminds me my lovely childhood,
though I know that my parents are my Santa Claus, but I still believe that the
real Santa Claus exist. Maybe he is too busy to come to my house. Next time, I
will send him a letter to tell him my address and tell him I am always a good
kid.XDD then “Santa Claus is coming to my house.”
Finally,
I have said out the name for the third activity is “Santa Claus is coming to
church!!”
In
this activity, we are going to sing songs together. It’s exciting!! Don’t miss
it!! That’s the end of our introduction about our church. I guess you can’t

A: OK, just like
we said in the last video, we are going to introduce the details about our
church activities. First of all, let’s welcome B to introduce the first
activity for us.
B:Hi, everyone, I’m B,
the most (….) boy/girl in…this church. If you come to play the game in the
church, I will play the game with you!! Can’t wait to play the game, right? Let’s
go outside and see!
(walking
outside!!) This game is called Da Vinci Code, the same name with our church. This
one is the most difficult game to play. Do you see the wall around the church? There
are many pictures on the upper wall and some odd words on the lower wall that
you never see. This is the code you need to solve and the pictures are the
hints for you to solve the puzzle. There is a pattern in the code. Find it, and
you can solve all the puzzles. For example, letters A may change into B and
then you can induce that B may change into C. If you really don’t know how to
start, please dance!! Just to let us know that you need help!!
And we will give
a hand. Are you the detective who can solve difficult puzzle? Yes, you are. You
are the one we need. Come, and enjoy the little puzzle that can make you
dance!!! Next, C will introduce the second game to you. Let’s go!!
C:Hi, everyone, I’m
C. Let’s welcome “Me” to introduce the second game to you!!The second activity
is called “God says.” In the last video, … have said that in Christian culture,
all Christians need to follow the regulations of the God. That is, like teacher
who always has the power to tell students to do something, there is a power in
the God’s words as well. But, this one is divine one, so you cannot disobey it.
When the God says sit down and need to sit down. When the God says dance and
then you need to dance. Is that clearly? Ok, next rules is that if there is no “God
says” before the directives sentence, you can’t move.
I hope you are
ready for the sacred words from God and obey it without arguing. Let’s pray!!

A: Wow it’s about
Christmas!! Do you like Christmas? Oh I love it so much because in this day all
the trees on the street and at home will be decorated with garland, tinsel,
candy canes and colorful light. Furthermore, people will get together to
celebrate it with parties!! Oh!!Parties!! Yes!!! In the third activity, we are
going to have a party, where we can sing Christmas songs and enjoy this
fantabulous festival together. Do you see the wall there? On the wall, there
are lyrics for the song named “Santa Claus is to Town.” I guess you all know
this famous song. So, we will make this activity more challenging by taking
away some lyrics in the song and replace them with pictures. When we encounter
the blank, we will stop. And then you have to guess what the lyrics are and
help everyone to continue the song. Finally, we will sing the song all together
again~
